SHERRIE EVETT BIO Ever since she was a little girl, Sherrie Evett has been fascinated by makeup artistry. She remembers watching in fascination as her older sisters transformed themselves with their makeup and hairstyles. Little did she know that this childhood fascination would eventually grow into a career she has loved for the past 18+ years. Prior to becoming a makeup artist, Sherrie worked as a secretary. However, when she met her husband, she got the opportunity to meet several makeup artists. Sherrie would enjoy watching them work their magic. Noticing her interest, her husband and his favorite artist gifted her with her own set of cosmetic supplies. Not long after, she started practicing her skills at Salon Entre Nous doing touch-ups for clients. She also began developing her portfolio with various photographers. In her almost 19 years of makeup artistry, Sherrie has helped her clients see and enhance their beauty by working with each person’s individual assets. She has also had fun doing quite the opposite when creating special effects such as creating monsters, an aged look, or faux injuries. To expand her skillset for print, film, and television, she attended the Character Development Class at MUD. As her son would put it….she draws on people’s faces. Sherrie’s beauty perspective is that one should feel comfortable in their own skin. She believes we shouldn’t fret over lines, as lines are proof of happiness, proof of life. She wants us to stand tall and smile while exuding comfortable confidence. Her makeup artistry helps her clients do just that. As a makeup artist, Sherrie offers her clients a professional and positive experience. She enjoys what she does, is a quick learner, and loves to share what she learns. Sherrie is described as easy going, flexible, kind, professional, calming, and thorough by her clients. The satisfaction of the people she works with keeps her constantly inspired. Sherrie feel fortunate to have such wonderful mentors as her husband and his favorite artist, Theresa Coppock, along with all of the other makeup artists her husband has worked with. She feels it is important to continually learn about her craft and enjoys working with the talented artists who inspire her.
